Meet Tina.
Mediator. Public Servant. Advocate for Education.
Tina Moeinian is a first-generation American and grew up in a household where her parents instilled values such as honesty, fairness, compassion, and the belief that education is the great equalizer. She attended K-12 and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from the public institutions. Tina continued her studies and achieved a Master’s in Psychology with a concentration in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University.
For the last decade, Tina has built her career in public service and values being of service to her fellow American. First, she worked as a management analyst, where she interfaced with all levels of governmental, private and public stakeholders, each with divergent interests, bringing them together in their shared environmental roles. As an Equal Employment Opportunity specialist, Tina documented complaints of workplace discrimination, and educated the complainants of the EEO process and of their rights.
In her current role as a mediator, Tina mediates both workplace and community cases. Tina enjoys utilizing her educational background to communicate issues in dispute, and bring folks to a deeper understanding of their conflicts, promoting understanding, and finding common ground so that the parties can work together to find their own resolutions.
In her personal time, Tina is passionate about teaching yoga via her virtual platform and holds certifications in Yoga instruction and Reiki.
Now, Tina is stepping up to run for public office because she believes it’s time for a new kind of leadership – one that puts people, students and values first. After seeing the attacks on public institutions in early 2025, she realized that the fight for justice must happen not only inside institutions but through public service at every level. She’s running to protect public education, ensure every student has access to equal opportunities in education and resist efforts to censor classrooms or students. She believes education is for everyone, not just the select few.
Tina is driven by one core belief: everyone deserves to be seen, heard, and treated with dignity.
